Georgia's Story
Skin Type: Eczema
Prominent Location: Face, Body, Hands
If there’s one word that keeps coming up when we talk to people who use Epaderm, it’s “control.” Here, we talk to Georgia about why she loves Epaderm for managing her eczema, and how she uses it on a day-to-day basis.
Georgia has had eczema on and off since she was a child. After disappearing during her teenage years, it came back with a vengeance five or six years ago.
“I just always had really dry skin, a lot of redness, and that whole cycle where it goes from flaky, to red, to okay sometimes, and then straight back to the beginning.”
“Finding a moisturiser that helped in each of those stages was really key.”
“I was only introduced to Epaderm a couple of years ago,” says Georgia. Before that, the creams and lotions she was trying were often too drying, too thin, or too liquidy.
“The first time I got introduced to this was a blessing. I’ve used it for years – when my skin flares, and even as a day-to-day moisturiser when my skin is better.”
“It’s been a long journey, but I’m finally getting somewhere!” says Georgia. “If you saw me a few years ago, I’d look a lot different.”
So why does Georgia think Epaderm Cream works so well for her, above all the other products she’s tried?
“The balance,” says Georgia, confidently. “It’s got that nice balance of thickness, so you know you’re going to get full coverage, but it’s not so thick that it takes ages and ages to rub in.”
“It’s a really nice consistency that just works – through all phases of the day, and all seasons.”
Georgia's Epaderm Routine
Morning
- “The Ointment is really good for things like showering,” says Georgia.
- She also applies Epaderm Cream immediately after washing – “it’s the first thing I do while my skin’s still damp. Head to toe, all over the body.”
Daytime
- “The Cream is good on the go,” she adds. “If I want to top up during the day, I just take a little pot in my bag. You never know when you’re going to have a flare up.”
Evening - “That’s when the big ones come out!” laughs Georgia, tapping her 500g bottle of Epaderm Cream. “I also use the Ointment in the evening if I want to really hydrate my skin and lock in the moisture overnight.”
